Penerapan Teknik Pembelajaran Probing-Prompting Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Pada Siswa Kelas VII.D SMP Negeri 15 Palu

Abstract


This classroom action research aims to improve social studies learning outcomes in class VII.D students. SMP Negeri 15 Palu. The problem studied is the low student learning outcomes in social studies subjects. An alternative problem solving is to apply probing - prompting learning techniques. The research subjects were class VII students. D SMP Negeri 15 Palu, with 24 students. This research was conducted in two cycles with material on human social life, each cycle includes 4 stages: (i) planning (ii) implementing actions (iii) observation (iv) reflection. The application of probing - prompting learning techniques can improve physics learning outcomes for class VII.D students. This can be seen in the increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. For the learning outcomes of the first cycle, the classical learning mastery score was 67.08% and the classical absorption was 67.00% with 15 students who completed and 9 students who had not completed. Meanwhile, in cycle II, the classical learning completeness score was 81.88% and the classical absorption was 82.00% with 21 students who completed and 3 students who had not completed, which means that they have exceeded the standard of student learning completeness that has been set, namely above 80%. The increase in classical absorption from cycle I to cycle II was 15.08% and classical learning completeness from cycle I to cycle II was 25%. For the results of observations of student activity in learning activities cycle I and cycle II increased from good category with a percentage of 88.75% to very good category with a percentage of 96.25%. Thus it was concluded that the application of probing-prompting learning techniques can improve physics learning outcomes in class VII.D  students SMP Negeri 15 Palu.
