Abstract


Karena tekanan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat akan penerangan listrik, Pemerintah Indonesia menggalakkan dengan membangun Pembangkit listrik baru diantaranya menggunakan bahan bakar utama batubara yang dampaknya akan menghasilkan limbah pembakaran. Pemanfaatan bahan limbah pembakaran batubara dengan cara mendaur ulang (recycle) merupakan langkah yang baik untuk mengurangi limbah dan menjadikannya sebagai bahan produktif karena saat ini limbah tersebut tersedia dalam jumlah yang banyak. Salah satu bagian penting dan langkah awal dalam penelitian beton adalah penelitian mengenai sifat mekanik beton yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dengan melakukan analisis perilaku mikrostruktur sampai diperoleh gambaran dan penjelasan secara detail. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan studi eksperimental untuk menyelidiki perilaku mikrostruktur beton yang dibuat dari campuran bahan limbah pembakaran batubara sebagai pengganti agregat halus menjadi beton/concrete coal ash terhadap perilaku mekanik beton dengan mengambil mutu beton normal f’c 30 MPa. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah dapat memberikan gambaran dan penjelasan bahwa Coal Ash sebagai pengganti sebagian agregat halus terhadap karakteristik mekanik Concrete Coal Ash (CCA) bisa diterima dan memenuhi perilaku beton serta merubah pola pikir dengan melakukan daur ulang (recycle) bahan limbah menjadi bahan produktif.
