Focus and Scope

Edutourism: Journal of Tourism Research (JTR) published twice a year in June and December by Tourism Department of Politeknik Negeri Samarinda (State Polytechnic of Samarinda), East Kalimantan. The publication of this journal is a scientific and applied journal in the field of hospitality and tourism studies. The manuscript can be research papers, review articles, as well as conceptual, technical, and methodological papers on all aspects includes research findings, experimental design, analysis, and recent application in hospitality and tourism studies. The scope of these areas includes tourism planning, tour and travel, tourism management, tourism destination, destination management organization, hotel and accommodation, tourism industry, economic impacts of tourism, tourism gastronomy, tourism village, education in tourism, MICE, tourist attraction development, tourism business, ecotourism, special interest of tourism, heritage, and cultural attraction.

Peer Review Process

Each submitted manuscript is evaluated on the following basis :

1. The originality of its contribution to the field of scholarly publishing
2. The soundness of its theory and methodology given the topic
3. The coherence of its analysis
4. Its ability to communicate to readers (grammar and style).

Normally turn-around time for evaluation of manuscripts is three to five months from the date of receipt.

Publikasi Journal Terbit 2 (Dua0 Kali dalam 1 (Satu) Tahun.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
